The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The Australian Army Catering Corps (AACC) is the corps within the Australian Army that is responsible for preparing and serving of meals. The Corps includes two trades, Chef and Operator Catering (previously known as stewards). The motto of the corps is ‘We sustain’.

The chef’s hat represents the corps’ role in providing catering support to the Australian Army. The sword represents the corps’ military role, and the wheat sheaf represents the corps’ agricultural role in providing food for the army.
