The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). During the Second World War, the RAA raised more than 70 regiments of field, medium, anti-tank, anti-aircraft and survey artillery, the 106 Tank Attack Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA) was formed in mid-1941 as part of the Second Australian Imperial Force during World War II as part of the 3rd Division.
