The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The Royal Australian Corps of Signals is one of the arms of the Australian Army. 109th Signal Squadron (109 Sig Sqn) is a Royal Australian Signals Corps Army unit forming part of the 13th Brigade. 109 Sig Sqn moved to Irwin Barracks in Karrakatta in 1992 to join the other 13 Bde units.
