126 Signals Squadron (Special Forces) (126 Sig Sqn). 301 Sig Sqn was raised in 1960, and in 1965 it was redesignated as 126 Signal Squadron (Special Forces).

The Australian Army is the principal land warfare force of Australia, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) along with the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The badge of the Royal Australian Signals (RA Sigs) was used until 1991/2. In 1992, 126th Signal Squadron (Special Forces) qualified commandos were given approval to wear the commando badge.
