1st Combat Service Support Battalion
Framed for display is the regimental badge of the 1st Combat Service Support Battalion (1 CSSB). The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is the military organisation responsible for the defence of the Commonwealth of Australia and its national interests. The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The Combat Service Support Battalions are diverse units comprising officers and soldiers from various corps. 1 CSSB comprises five sub-units: Logistic Support Company, Logistic Support Element (Adelaide), 101st Field Workshop Company, 1st Transport Squadron and 1st Supply Company. On a day-to-day basis, all units within the 1st Brigade rely heavily on the support provided by 1 CSSB.
