2/10th Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery

We are excited to showcase a beautifully framed collection featuring the King’s Crown (1930 – 1953) cap badge of the 2/10th Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery, referred to as the Royal Australian Artillery (RAA), is a Regiment of the Australian Army descended from the original colonial artillery units before the Australian Federation. The 2/10th Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA) was raised as part of the 8th Division. This regiment was formed in mid-1940 at Redbank, Queensland part of the Second Australian Imperial Force during World War II.

The 2/10th Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery hat badge of the Royal Australian Artillery was approved in June 1930 with the battle honour UBIQUE in the upper scroll surmounted by an Imperial crown, and the motto CONSENSU STABILES and the word AUSTRALIA in the lower scrolls. In 1951 a design with QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT replaced the wording in the lower scrolls but this was never manufactured or issued.
