The ‘Australian Military Forces’ fifth pattern of the Rising Sun badge was a variation of the official Insignia of the Australian Army, worn on the brim of a slouch hat or the front of a peaked cap between 1966 and 1972.

The Australian Military Forces (QC) substituted the Imperial State Crown with the St Edwards Crown, which is the crown used by Queen Elizabeth II.
