Commissioners Commendation for Excellence in Overseas Service

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is the national and principal federal law enforcement agency of the Australian Government with the unique role of investigating crime and protecting the national security of the Commonwealth of Australia. The Commissioners Commendation for Excellence in Overseas Service was awarded to individuals who demonstrated excellence in overseas service whilst undertaking core business and adhering to the corporate values of the AFP through the application to their duties work requirements mission operation or role within the AFP.

The ribbon of the Commissioners Commendation for Excellence in Overseas Service is white with a central dark blue stripe 6mm wide and two outer stripes 5mm wide, one dark blue and other yellow. Three narrow dark blue stripes run down the centre of the white stripes flanking the central dark blue stripe. The traditional police colours of white and dark blue are combined with yellow, which signifies service outside Australia.
