The Commissioners Medal for Excellence is a circular antique bronze coloured medal suspended from a pivoting scroll ribbon with a laurel suspension bar the obverse depicts a stylised Indigenous x-ray image of the AFP platypus symbol. Around the rim is the text ‘COMMISSIONER’S MEDAL FOR EXCELLENCE’.
