F88 AuSteyr Rifle Australian Army
The F88 was the Australian Army’s standard combat weapon between 2009 and 2016. The rifle was replaced by the Enhanced F88 in 2016 but is still in use in select units.Â

The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), along with the Royal Australian Navy, and the Royal Australian Air Force. From the late 1980s, the F88 became the ADF’s standard individual weapon replacing the L1A1 SLR and M16A1 in the Australian Army.
