HMAS Otway Submarine Qualification Badge – HMAS Otway (S 59) was an Oberon-class submarine of the Royal Australian Navy. One of the first four Oberon-class boats ordered for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Hello and welcome to Framed Memorabilia and Militaria! The RAN is the naval force of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). In the RAN Submarine Service, submariners who pass the qualification test are awarded the badge with two dolphins and a crown, known as the ‘dolphins’.

This prestigious badge, often referred to as the Dolphin Badge, is made of gold-plated metal and is designed as a brooch. It features two dolphins facing each other, supporting a crown.
