Royal New Zealand Air Force | Lee-Enfield .303 Rifle (SMLE)

The Lee-Enfield .303 Rifle (SMLE), Royal New Zealand Air Force SMLE no 1 MKIII (Short Magazine Lee Enfield) was the standard rifle of the Royal New Zealand Air Force from 1907 to 1959*. The Lee–Enfield or Enfield is a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century, and was the British Army’s standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. The WWI versions are often referred to as the “SMLE”, which is short for the common “Short, Magazine, Lee–Enfield” variant.

Information: Australian-made rifle recreated in great detail. This quality 1/6th scale miniature model is die-cast in a zinc alloy before being hand-finished and measures 18cm – 180mm long.
