The Australian Army is Australia’s principal land warfare force, a part of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) with the Royal Australian Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The Australian Army Psychology Corps (AA Psych) is the branch of the Australian Army responsible for providing psychological care to Army personnel. 1st Psychology Unit (1 Psych Unit) was an Army unit of the Australian Army Psychology Corps. 1 Psych Unit was a part of the 17th Combat Services Support Battalion. 1 Psych Unit was an integrated Regular Army and Army Reserve unit that is under the command of the 17th Combat Service Support Brigade.
